JEE Main Counselling 2019 Check JoSAA Counselling Schedule & Process: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority will conduct the process of JEE Main Counselling. The process of JEE Main 2019 Counselling will start from 2nd week of June. Aspirants obtained the minimum Cut off score (based on AIR) will be eligible for JoSAA JEE Main Counselling 2019 and Seat Allotment. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority is responsible for the entire process of admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs.
JEE Main is a National level entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Through the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main, the students can get admission in various engineering and architecture courses. The Counselling process is regulated by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority).
JEE Main Counselling 2019
Just after the declaration of JEE Main Result, the process of Counselling will start. Process of Counseling will be organized online. To participate in JEE Main 2019 Counselling and Seat Allotment, candidates have to register to JoSSA in online mode. The commencement of JEE Main Counselling process is tentatively schedule from 2nd week of June. The organization will invite students for Counselling on the basis of Merit List, Preference of Choices filling and availability of seats.

JEE Main 2019 Counselling & Seat Allotment
In the following section, we have provided JEE Main Counselling & Seat Allotment for different category candidates in different institutes.
For Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs)
- All India – It is open for all candidates
For National Institutes of Technology (NITs)
- Home State candidates – Open only for those candidates who have the same state code of eligibility as that of the institute.
- Other State candidates – Candidates not from the home state will belong to the other state.
For Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs)
- For Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi and IIEST Shibpur- candidates from home state and other states.
- For Assam University – All India and home state candidates
- Other GFTIs – Only All India candidates

Process of JEE Main Counselling & Seat Allotment 2019
Step 1 – Online Registration
The candidates have to register yourself to participate for JEE Main Counselling 2019 and Seat Allotment. Go through the official website JoSSA (Link is available at below).
Step 2 – Choice Filling & Locking
Fill and Lock the choices according to the preference of colleges and BTech Programmes. The candidates will not pay any fee for Choice filling and locking. You are required to fill maximum choices for Seat Allotment. After filling of choices, don’t forgot to lock them.
Step 3 – Seat Allotment
As per filled choices, Merit, Preference and available seats, the candidates will be allotted seats. Before the actual seat allotment, mock allotment will be done in two rounds.
Step 4 – Payment of Fee and Seat Acceptance
At the time of Seat acceptance, the candidates can choose Freeze, Float and Slide.
- Freeze: If candidates are satisfied with seat allotted and do not wish to participate in further rounds, they will have to choose this option.
- Float: In case, candidates need to keep the seat allotted and also wish to upgrade their seat, they must follow this option.
- Slide: If candidates accept the seat allotted and wish to upgrade the course in the same institute, they will have to stick to this option.
- Withdraw: If candidates have already accepted the seat, they can withdraw the seat by reporting at the institute allotted before the last round of seat allotment.
In order to confirm the seat, the candidates have to pay the fees through SBI Net Banking or e-Challan. The Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) will be of 45,000 for all candidates expect SC/ ST/ SC-PwD/ ST-PwD/ GEN-PwD/ OBC-NCL-PwD. Remaining candidates have to pay Fees of RS 20,000.
Step 5 – Documents Verification
After the completing of process, the candidates have to verify their documents at the help centers. The following documents are required for verification.
- 3 passport size photographs (the same as uploaded during registration)
- Provisional JoSAA seat allotment letter
- Photo identity card
- Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
- JEE Main Admit Card
- Date of birth proof
- JEE Main Score Card
- Class 12th Mark sheet
- Category certificate (if applicable)
Step 6 – Reporting to Allotted College
Once verification is done and seat confirmed, candidates have to report at the allotted institute. Students have to bring documents and admission fees to confirm their seat.
